Founding Partner

Fred A. Wong is a Los Angeles native who devotes his law practice to the areas of business and real estate litigation. He has built a strong reputation as a skilled 30 year veteran attorney and always upholds the highest standard of service for his clients.

Fred is a graduate of University of Southern California Gould School of Law. He is admitted to practice in all the state courts of California, the United States District Court, Northern District of California, the United States District Court, Central District of California and the United States Court of Appeals of the Ninth Circuit. Prior to law school, Fred attended California State University of Los Angeles where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Finance).

Prior to founding Wong & Mak, LLP, Fred acquired several years of experience in real estate, business law and civil law while working as an associate at Francis, Blanco & Coco from 1986 to 1990.  In addition, Fred was the President of the San Gabriel Valley Bar Association in 1993. From 1995 to 2010, he regularly served as a judge pro tem for the Los Angeles Superior Court. Fred has been continuously inducted into the Southern California Super Lawyers since 2009.

In addition to servicing his clients, Fred is an active member of the San Gabriel Valley and the greater Los Angeles community. Fred has actively volunteered his time to serve in the following board of committees:

  • Journey House (President) – a Non-Profit organization dedicated to serve the former foster youth.
  • City of Alhambra Chamber of Commerce
  • Alhambra General Hospital Citizen Advisory Board
  • City of Alhambra Parks & Recreation Committee
  • City of Alhambra HCDA Citizen Advisory Committee
  • Chinese American United for Self Empowerment (Founding Member)
  • Vision 21 (Founding Member)

Aside from his professional work and contributions to his community, Fred loves to travel and enjoys hiking and skiing.

Steven W. Hashimoto

Attorney – Of Counsel

Steve W. Hashimoto is an attorney of counsel at Wong & Mak with over 20 years of experience in business litigation. His practice covers a broad spectrum of litigation and trial work on behalf of many different types of businesses and individuals. Steven understands every case is unique and presents unique challenges. Mr. Hashimoto also served as a judge pro tem for the northeast district, Alhambra Courthouse of the Los Angeles Superior Court.

Steven W. Hashimoto earned his Bachelors of Science Degree from the University of California, Berkley in June, 1976. He also earned his Masters of Science program of Economics and Political Science from the California Institute of Technology in June, 1980. Steven received his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of California, Davis and was admitted to the California State Bar in 1984. He was later admitted to the United States District Court – Central District of California in 1995.
